JOIN OUR FAMILY.

At WGVA, we feel that we are different from other clubs in the sense that we promote club unity. Our older girls mentor and support our younger ones, and our coaches are there for all the teams, not just their own. Everyone brings their own knowledge and experience to the table, making the club excel all around. Our Mission is to be the premier club in west Georgia and eastern Alabama areas, providing top level training from the most experienced coaches in the area at our facility that is dedicated to the sport of volleyball.

DON’T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT…

WHY WGVA?

We know what you’re thinking… What sets your club apart from everyone else’s? Aside from the fact that we take pride in a family culture, we have several things that we think make us stand out from others. Our club is the oldest volleyball club in the west Georgia area. We are the only club with their own 4+ court facility with outdoor amenities, and we have the most experienced coaching staff with the most competitive tournament schedule. What more could you ask for?

  • "As parents we wanted and continue to want the best for our daughter. We looked at nearly every travel volleyball club within the Atlanta metro area. We wanted a program that was going to develop our daughter's volleyball skills and most importantly to teach her life lessons. As a working family, cost was a big factor in the final decision on which club that we chose. With WGVA we got all that we could have ever asked for. It didn't break the bank, but it did give us access to colleges and opportunities that we could not have obtained on our own. Our daughter grew into an all-around volleyball player and was given tools to compete with national collegiate talent. Fortunately, my daughter was able to procure a volleyball scholarship from an NCAA Division 2 school here in Georgia. This was a direct result of the club's ability to put teams in tournaments where scouts are present. Now, the kid has to put in the work, and our daughter worked tirelessly on her craft and dedicated herself to the game. Her relationship with Coach Chris Thompson was invaluable as he gave 100% to the girls day in and day out. From one on one workouts to extra time in the gym. Whatever was necessary to succeed, that is what they would do. This was a fantastic journey and we are forever thankful to the coaches and the entire program of WGVA."

  • "When we chose to go to WGVA we had been in another club for two years. There are a lot of clubs out there that are unorganized or worse, they only care about your money (and want lots of it). Mackenzie was in WGVA her senior year and we wish we would have been with WGVA much sooner! When we were given the schedule at the beginning of season it didn't change. They didn't drop any tourneys mid season, which we had happen in the other club. As a parent footing the bill, you want to know you are getting your money's worth and WGVA really made me feel as if we were! Another thing is that the coaches truly LOVE volleyball and it rubs off on the girls. It's not just a business to the WGVA staff. I actually miss being in WGVA so much I'm planning to help as much as possible (that says a lot as a parent)!!! One of the main reasons my daughter received a full ride scholarship for volleyball is because of WGVA and her coaches there! You won't regret making the decision to join the WGVA family!"

  • "My daughter had never touched a volleyball before her JV freshman year. She instantly fell in love with volleyball and ended up getting “most improved” player. Her coaches suggested that she play for a club to keep improving and enhancing her volleyball skills. WGVA was recommended to us by several other players and parents. We chose WGVA for many reasons: the cost is affordable, the locations of practices are local, but most importantly, the coaches go above and beyond their responsibilities as “coaches.” She has learned so much more than just volleyball; confidence, sportsmanship, problem solving skills, and commitment. My daughter considers WGVA family! We can’t wait to see what the next few years bring with WGVA!"

  • "My Daughter was a first year Junior Varsity Player. The season was ending and that was when we started hearing about “Club” ball and how important it was for each player to stay competitive. Many of the girls she played school ball with worked out with various clubs in the area. Our research brought us to WGVA, “West”. We talked with parents and students, listened to their experiences with coaching and staff support and how “West” athletes dominate on skills. Winning games is great, knowing your student will be part of a winning club will boost their confidence, but personal success for each athlete is the most important aspect to these coaches and staff. The students they take on are each supported and pushed in strength, skill based instruction centered around good sportsmanship and conduct on and off the court. WGVA makes the goal for each athlete to receive the training and support they need to succeed now and wherever their game may take them."

  • "I love WGVA because even though there are so many teams, players, and coaches, we all support and cheer on each other. It feels like a family at tournaments, and even if you practice with a completely different team, everyone is so accepting."
